Beloved, grace is not a concept. It’s a person. Holiness, righteousness and sanctification are not attributes to aspire to….or fail in. They’re descriptions of a person. These reveal the foundational, unchanging beauty of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You were created in their image. This beauty is you…and your creator admires you with great joy! He’s in awe of you. Hear Him singing to you that YOU are holy. You are His heart.
So often, as I say “Welcome aboard”, I watch people look (worriedly) past me and into the isle of the plane. I know they’re wondering if there’s still room for their luggage in the overhead space. (Wow, I like how I got every version of theiy’re in there;). Recently I asked a stressed out passenger (as he tried to ignore me and worry): “Are you living 5 feet ahead of yourself? Because all you’ve got is this breath right here.” He chuckled and agreed that he was. That anxiousness we feel is so uncomfortable because it’s not the real us. The real me is peaceful, relaxed and trusting…because As He Is So Am I. My desire is to alleviate the anxious hearts. So thankful for the many who help me alleviate my own.
There is so much glory on you. If you could see yourself, shining like you do. You’re amazing. Even in your fear and deception of your perfection. Did you hear that? You’re perfect. Nobody has it all together. When somebody is crying out in a negative emotion it’s only because they’re not allowed to wail like a two year old on a plane. Sometimes we need to wail. However it comes out. It’s not personal. When we see the pain and fear our compassion is aroused and we can show mercy. Being kind is healing. Being unkind is a misunderstanding of our true self.
